Engine piston
The engine piston is one of the main parts in the engine. It forms
a piston group with piston rings, piston pins and other parts, and
forms a combustion chamber with the cylinder head, etc. It bears
the force of the gas and transmits the power to the crankshaft
through the piston pin and connecting rod to complete the working
process of the internal combustion engine. The piston is a key
component that reciprocates in the cylinder block of the automobile
engine.
Piston structure
According to the working conditions and requirements of different
engines, the structure of the piston itself is various. Generally,
the piston is divided into three parts: the top, the head and the
skirt.
From the top of the engine piston, it is round, but in fact the
shape of the piston is elliptical. The advantage is that it can
effectively avoid being squeezed and mechanically deformed in the
direction perpendicular to the axis of the piston pin, and can also
avoid the heat expansion and deformation of the piston when it is
working, ensuring that the matching clearance between the piston
and the cylinder is uniform in the hot state.

The engine piston includes aluminum alloy pistons, cast iron
pistons, steel pistons and combined pistons.
